We cultivate, gather, connect and allocate high-end standardization resource factors, so as to promote the integrated development of technologies and industries, connectivity of rules and standards, and open sharing of innovation achievements. According to the press conference of Shandong Provincial Government on July 6, 2021 QFS will be held in Qingdao on 27-28 July.
According to Hou Chengjun, Secretary of the Party Group, Director General of Shandong Administration for Market Regulation, 2021 QFS will be themed on "Standards for Sustainable Development Goals", and jointly hosted by Shandong Provincial Government and the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAC). The forum is designed to create a higher-level platform for international exchange and communication, further expand exchanges and mutual learning of international standards, and explore the role of international standards in improving global governance and facilitating sustainable development.
QFS will be composed of one themed conference, series of activities and four sub-forums. The four sub-forums include "Standardization Supporting Sustainable Development of Modern Agriculture", "Standardization and Digital Transformation of Urban Governance", "Capacity Building & Creating Leadership in Standardization" and "Standardization, Industrial Internet & Low Carbon Transition". Some 300 participants are invited to attend the Form, among which 30 attendees will join the meeting online.
In 2018, Shandong Province was approved to carry out the National Pilot of Comprehensive Reform on Standardization, thanks to which the standardization work in Shandong saw historical breakthroughs. In order to deepen the effects of the reform, and promote the innovation and development of standardization in Shandong, through active preparation, Shandong Provincial Government and SAC have facilitated the stipulation of the strategic cooperation agreement on innovation and development of standardization in Shandong. Within this framework, the standardization of Shandong Province will enjoy more support of policies, projects, technologies and talents, particularly the international standardization will achieve more breakthroughs.
Journalist of Shandong People's Broadcasting Business Radio was told that Shandong has accumulatively participated in the stipulation of over 200 ISO, IEC, and ITU international standards. The province has reserved 160 innovations of international standards in the advantageous areas of next generation information technology, foundry machinery, high speed bullet trains, ship building, household appliances, fine ceramics and new materials. Shandong has also undertaken eight international professional standardization technical committees and sub technical committees, as well as ISO's only permanent forum and training base in China, which trained over 200 person times of high-end standardizers from Belt and Road countries. Shandong WTO/TBT notification and early warning service platform has totally released 102 issues of rapid warning reports, collected over 30,000 WTO/TBT-SPS notifications, and released over 500 pieces of early warning information on exports. The development platform for international standards in industrial areas has taken shape, represented by Haier, Hisense, Joyoung, Inspur, and Weichai. And the small and medium enterprises such as Haoyue have led international standards and the industrial development, accelerating the momentum of champions in individual areas.
During the 14th five-year plan period, guided and supported by the State Administration for Market Regulation and the SAC, Shandong Province will continue to actively participate in the bigger picture of international standardization, share and contribute more technologies, products, patterns and programs of Shandong, so as to better assist the high-quality development.
