Under the guidance of the CPC Shandong Committee and Shandong Government, and support of the State Administration for Market Regulation (Standardization Administration of the P.R.C.), preparations of QFS are well under way.
 
First, invitation of senior experts in international standardization. This year’s forum has attracted senior experts worldwide, including representatives from ISO, IEC, ITU, FAO, CEN, CENELEC, etc., to online/offline participation. During the forum, experts will share the latest research results on international standardization, and good practice in standardization cooperation for trade development.
Second, new strategic cooperation on standardization in Shandong. During the forum, a new strategic cooperation agreement on standardization will be signed between Shandong Government and the Standardization Administration of the P.R.C. Historic breakthroughs have been made in Shandong’s standardization since the approval of the National Pilot of Comprehensive Reform on Standardization in 2018. To deepen the reform, and to innovate development of standards across the whole province, Shandong Government and the Standardization Administration will work to draw up a strategic cooperation agreement on Shandong’s innovative development of standardization. Against this backdrop, Shandong will enjoy more support in policy, projects, technology and talent during the 14^th Five-Year Plan period, and above all, greater breakthroughs will be seen in establishing international standards.
Third, strict implementation of pandemic prevention and control measures during the forum. In comply with the national prevention and control measures for COVID-19, the host has taken measures to prevent and control the pandemic, and drawn up emergency plans. A special team will also be built for the joint prevention and control mechanism.
The world needs to coordinate to promote connectivity. The CPC Shandong Committee and Shandong Government hold high hopes for the forum. And experts, scholars, enterprises in this field are also expecting this year’s QFS a great success. We will make it a grand event of distinctive themes, real highlights, and fruitful results. We will facilitate exchanges and cooperation on standardization resources, and infuse new vitality for Shandong to build its highland of opening up.
