May Fourth Square
May Fourth Square neighbors the office building of Qingdao municipal government in the north and faces the Fushan Bay in the south, covering an area of 10 ha. The square was named after the May Fourth Movement, a famous movement in the modern history of China. The square consists the north and south parts and the office building of the municipal government, the concealed fountain, the dot matrix fountain, the sculpture “May Wind”, the on-shore hundred-meter fountain, etc. which are located on the central axis.

Olympic Sailing Center
Introduction of Olympic Sailing Center: Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center, former Qingdao International Sailing Center, was the playing field of aquatic sport of the 29th Olympic Games. The center is located by the Fushan Bay, Qingdao City, Shandong Province of China, the plant area of former North Sea Shipyard, neighboring May Fourth Square and Donghai Road. Yandao Qiuchao, a famous downtown scenic spot, is located in the southeast corner of the Yanerdao Mountain within the base, where it is surrounded by the mountain and the sea and has pleasant scenery. This place successively held the aquatic sport of the 29th Olympic Games in 2008 and sailing race of the 13th Paralympics Games. The center totally covers an area of 45 ha. The playing area for the sailing race of the Olympic Games is about 30 ha.

Qingdao Third Beach
Qingdao Third Beach, also called Shanhaitian Beach, is located east of Taipingjiao, surrounded by the mountain and the sea. Water is exceptionally clear despite its small area.
Change rooms of diverse styles are built on the beach. Hot water is supplied thoughtfully for those unused to cold water.

Qingdao Music Square
Qingdao Music Square is located by the Fushan Bay, adjoining May Fourth Square to the east and Children’s Activity Center to the north, covering an area of XXX. The square was officially opened to the public on September 18, 1999.
It is a music-theme culture and leisure square, currently the largest music square in China.
The square consists of five functional zones: the Tree Array Zone, the Eccentric Square and Soft Sculpture Zone, the Oval Square Zone, the Music Sea-watching Platform and the Underground Shopping Mall.
These zones are rationally laid out according to the form of expression, forming a sector layout. Viewing from above, the square looks like a beautiful scallop embedded on the beach.

Qingdao Botanical Garden
Qingdao Botanical Garden stands on the protection of botanical resources, introduction and domestication of fine varieties and popularization of botanical sciences. After over two decades’ hard work, an operational mode based on plants collection together with sight-viewing has been developed. Some precious and endangered species are preserved. Currently, the park has 175 species of trees, mainly pinus parviflora, metasequoia, oriental cherry, Rhododendron obtusum and camellia japonica Linn. In May 2001, the garden was approved as an appointed tourist attraction by the municipal administration of tourism. In August that year, it was included as the first batch of Class AA tourist attraction of Qingdao City. In 2002, the garden was named Base for Science Education of Qingdao City by Qingdao Association for Science and Technology. Since April 2008, the garden has been opened to the public for free, being one of the ten practical things conducted by the city in 2008.

Zhanshan Temple
Zhanshan Temple is the only Buddhism temple in downtown Qingdao, located southwest of the Zhanshan Mountain and at the eastern foot of the Taiping Mountain. The construction work commenced in 1934 and was completed in 1945. The temple covers an area of 23 mu. Two stone lions are sitting at the front gate, legendarily the heritage from the Ming Dynasty. There is a stone masonry lotus pond in the front where people free captive animals. In the temple are seated the Great Buddha’s Hall, the Triple Saints’ Hall, the Hall of Heavenly Kings and the guest house. Behind the halls is the Depository of Buddhist’s Sutras where over 6,000 volumes of old Tibetan Buddhist scriptures and ancient Buddha statues are preserved. On the east hill behind the temple sits an octagonal seven-floor brick pagoda towering to the skies. The temple faces the Yellow Sea in the south, surrounded by the Fushan Mountain, Zhanshan Mountain and Taiping Mountain respectively in the east, west and north. Zhanshan Qingfan, one of the top 10 sceneries of Qingdao, refers to Zhanshan Temple.
